Raised Bed Vegetable Gardening
September 6 @ 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Dave Eberle, Master Gardener

Want to elevate your vegetable gardening? Then you should use raised beds (literally)!
There are so many advantages to growing vegetables in raised beds. Better drainage, warmer soil, and easier access are just a few.
On Saturday, September 6th from 10:30 am to 12 noon, please join Clallam County Master Gardeners David Rambin, Diane Young, Tom Zingarelli, Kelly Pankau, Jennifer Blackwood, John Stednick and Dave Eberle to learn more about various ways to grow vegetables in raised beds on the North Olympic Peninsula. This free presentation will be held at the majestic Master Gardener Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim.
During the presentation, the Master Gardener team will discuss types of raised beds, location and design considerations, soil preparation, watering, mulches and attachments. The workshop will include a tour of the beautiful vegetable garden to showcase various types of framed raised beds, trellises and season extenders.
The presentation “Raised Bed Vegetable Gardening” is part of the Digging Deeper Saturdays’ Educational Series and will occur rain or shine. Please dress appropriately and wear shoes suitable for standing and walking around the Demonstration Garden. Attendees are encouraged to check the Clallam County Master Gardener online calendar for updates at https:// extension.wsu.edu/clallam/master-gardener-calendar/.
